Elastomers
Flexibility and elasticity
Elastomers are flexible and elastic sealing materials characterized by excellent elasticity and durability. After deformation, elastomers exhibit very good recovery properties, making them particularly suitable for applications involving alternating loads. The different resistances of the various elastomer types – for example, against weathering, oils, fats, or acids – allow their use in a wide range of demanding applications.
Applications
Elastomers are used as gaskets, custom-shaped parts, or square cuts acrossed almost all industries and sectors, finding applications, for example, in the automotive industry, mechanical and plant engineering, and the chemical industry.
They are particularly suitable for gaskets in engines, gearboxes, valves, and hydraulic systems with moderate performance requirements.
